Katja Pudor, The prepared room _I don't draw, I play, 2023 A five-part series of performances at ZEICHENRAUM eine Zeichnung entsteht _project by Claudia Busching / Mehrzweckhallle, Berlin, 29. July - 20. August 2023 *Supported by WILLMS NEUHAUS Foundation - Zufall und Gestaltung Intro The work for the project "ZEICHENRAUM eine Zeichnung entsteht" is conceived in such a way that the entire process of creating the work is public. Based on John Cage's idea for the composition "Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano" that the pianist should not have the feeling of playing the piano when playing, the idea is that I do not draw, but follow the suggestions that the "space" provides. The architectural space is transformed into a drawing medium that transcends its own limitations and allows me, the draughtswoman, to explore my own approaches. The work will remain in process until the end of the exhibition period. ________ PART 1 Opening Weekend, 29.
